The Community Oncology Alliance

COA is a national nonprofit organization that advocates for independent community oncology practices and the patients they serve. We are the only organization dedicated solely to community oncology.

Our mission is to strengthen independent community oncology through advocacy and practice support. We work with policymakers at the federal and state levels to advance legislation that helps practices succeed, operate sustainably, and deliver the best care to patients. In addition, we offer hands-on support to practice professionals by providing the resources they need to succeed in an evolving oncology environment.

Cancer treatment can be intense and span many years, requiring regular physician visits for treatment and checkups. Keeping patients close to home, their families, and support networks helps to lessen the burden of this devastating disease.  With the majority of Americans receiving treatment in the community setting, it is the backbone of the nation’s cancer care system. We must protect and strengthen independent community oncology.

What We Do

COA strengthens independent community oncology through advocacy and practice support. We work at the federal and state levels to champion policies that protect patient access to care. We also provide practice professionals with the resources they need to succeed in an evolving oncology environment.

We represent practices of all sizes from across the country and understand their evolving challenges. We work with policymakers to advance legislation that helps practices succeed, operate sustainably, and deliver the best care to patients.

COA’s unique networks provide hands-on support to practice teams, including:
