The Community Oncology Alliance (COA) is dedicated solely to independent community oncology. Founded more than 20 years ago, COA is focused on protecting and preserving the nation’s community cancer care delivery system.

COA welcomes everyone in community oncology. Our diverse members represent all levels of cancer care, including oncologists and hematologists, practice administrators, pharmacists and pharmacy teams, nurses and advanced practice providers, financial advisors, navigators, and social workers, insurance counselors, patients, survivors, caregivers, and industry stakeholders.

Junior Professional Membership (For Fellows and Recent Graduates)

COA welcomes recent oncology/hematology graduates and current fellows to join for free as Junior Professional Members. Recent graduates are welcome Junior Professionals up to two years post-graduation and entering practice. Junior Professional Membership is free of charge.

COA offers membership for our non-oncology/hematology clinical professional supporters, such as urologists and rheumatologists. The suggested contribution for an Associate Membership is $500 a year.

Patient and Advocate Membership (For patients, survivors, caregivers, and other advocates)

COA advocates have membership and participate through COA’s Patient Advocacy Network (CPAN). They include patients in active treatment, cancer survivors, professional caregivers, family members, and members of the general community. Advocacy membership is free of charge.

No matter your role in community oncology, COA’s offerings help you enhance your practice’s performance, engage in educational and advocacy efforts, and provide the best care to people living with cancer and their families.

Your financial support of COA is critical to our being able to execute our mission. Many of COA’s resources are currently free of charge to professionals and members of the cancer care team, however this is subject to change.

COA membership dues cover 12 full months of membership and are based on the calendar year.

As a 501c(6) organization, donations are partially tax-deductible as a business expense. A certain percentage of contributions to COA goes towards funding advocacy and lobbying efforts and are not deductible for tax purposes. This changes each year depending on our activities and priorities.
